When it comes to bookkeeping services in Manchester, the goal is to always provide consistency when it comes to businesses. Little did the team at Pebbles expect that consistency would provide the company with an award win two years running.
The Hardest Year
Business practice during 2020/21 has been affected within every single industry throughout Manchester, especially within our diverse client base. The dedication of the team at Pebbles saw them working with every single client and new ones in helping them navigate through this unprecedented time of upheaval and financial uncertainty.
Diane and Sean worked day and night with a majority of clients to keep their businesses functioning and financially stable with up to date bookkeeping. Surprisingly, after a whirlwind year, this family-run bookkeeper’s was informed that for the second year running they had been awarded the Bookkeeping Services of the Year award by the Manchester and North West Prestige Awards.
With everything that has occurred throughout the past year, the small family team at Pebbles remained dedicated to business owners when everything became turmoil, understanding that bookkeeping suddenly became an afterthought in the face of such uncertainty to most business owners.
“We didn’t expect to win the award two years running,” says company director Diane Huxley. “We had been so focused on our clients for the past 12 months that had been adversely affected by the pandemic and the effects on their business that it was a shock a year had passed since we were blessed by the first win. For a second win consecutively after such a challenging year, we feel honoured and thankful.”
Working Around the Clock
Being a family run business has posed its challenges for the team at Pebbles in a year where schools were closed and home-based working became the new normal. With both Diane and Sean having to work around their business, their client’s business and their own family life, this unit had to navigate and sacrifice a lot of family time together to help their clients stay strong during 2020.
“We looked at it as our calling and threw our heart and souls into it,” says Diane. “We live, breathe and work for our little family here, and we saw that all of our clients and their employees had families at home that were just as worried about the uncertainty as we were. We knew that between us we could alleviate some of that stress and fear by doing what we could for them.”
Honoured for Sacrifices
Pebbles spent 2020 working with business owners on solutions, as well as providing bookkeeping services in Manchester, software training and payroll outsourcing services to make businesses run more effectively and financially stable.
“We are immensely proud to win this award two years running, and this one means so much because of how much we sacrificed and worked through to ensure our clients could rest a bit easier” finishes Diane. “We would like to thank all of our clients for keeping the faith and entrusting us to help their businesses, as well as the Manchester and North West Prestige Awards for presenting us with this amazing award.”
